WINGS is Soaring to Educational Conferences in 2024!
WINGS is set to learn, grow, and share at major educational conferences in 2024. First on the roster is the Beyond School Hours Conference held by Foundations Inc. in the vibrant city of New Orleans, LA. This conference promises a dynamic platform for us to showcase innovative SEL strategies and engage with educators, offering valuable insights into fostering holistic child development.
Next up, we will be participating in the Extra Learning Opportunities OST Conference in Harrisburg, PA. With a focus on out-of-school time programs, this event from Centers for Schools and Communities provides a unique space for us to share expertise in promoting social emotional skills beyond the traditional classroom setting, enriching the educational experience for students.
We’ll be making a stop in Savannah, GA for the Southeastern Conference on School Climate where we’ll be presenting Big Emotions: Reacting vs. Responding. Here, administrators, counselors, and teachers participate in sessions packed with practical, evidence-based strategies aimed at creating learning environments to improve every student’s mental, behavioral, and academic performances. The SeCSC primary strands include Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports, Mental Health, School Safety, Youth Resiliency, Restorative Practices, and Mindfulness and Wellbeing.
Finally, we’ll be spreading our wings at the National Afterschool Association Conference in Dallas, TX. As a prominent gathering for afterschool professionals, this conference hosted by the National Afterschool Association offers WINGS a prime opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, share success stories, and contribute to the broader conversation on the pivotal role of essential life skills in afterschool programs nationwide.
These conferences serve as critical platforms for WINGS to collaborate, inspire, and further our mission of empowering children with the skills they need to soar academically and emotionally.
